Karen Cham

Karen has 23 years experience in digital economy. She designs and builds digital artefacts, develops digital production methods, establishes digital business, management and migration models, and devises transformational strategies; often simultaneously. Her skillset is domain agnostic and she has worked across the public, private and third sectors, including technology, media & entertainment, arts & heritage, education, health, local government and security & defence. She is currently Professor of Digital Transformation Design at the University of Brighton and overall Professorial Lead for ‘Connected Futures’, where she is responsible for digital transformation research & enterprise across the whole university and Academic Leadership of the Brighton Digital Catapult Centre where she is developing a Data Privacy, Ethics & Nudge Research Lab and part of the 5G Testbed project.
